Dampak Psikis Pengobatan Kemoterapi dan Metode Kelompok Diskusi Suportif Edukatif (Supportive-Educative Discussion Group) dengan Pendekatan Spiritual Care pada Pasien Kanker

Abstract


Meskipun pengobatan kemoterapi untuk kanker payudara menunjukkan peningkatan kelangsungan hidup, hal ini juga berkontribusi pada periode intervensi medis yang berkepanjangan yang juga mengakibatkan keluhan fisik dan terutama psikologis pasien. Harapan adalah salah satu elemen penting bagi pasien untuk bertahan hidup dengan diagnosis kanker payudara. Adanya teman, mentor, komunitas, atau kelompok sosial dalam Supportive-Educative Discussion Group (SEDG) dapat efektif meningkatkan harapan penyembuhan, mengurangi kesepian, dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat stres pada pengobatan kemoterapi dan efektivitas SEDG dengan pendekatan spiritual care dalam menurunkan stres. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi eksperimen pre-post test design dengan kuesioner DASS 42. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui diskusi kelompok terfokus pada 30 pasien kanker payudara, analisis bivariat menggunakan uji Kendal's Tau C. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya penurunan tingkat stres pasien kanker setelah mengikuti SEDG. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan spiritual memiliki efek positif pada stres pasien. Namun perlu diketahui lebih lanjut faktor penyebab stres pada pasien kanker payudara selain menghadapi kemoterapi.
